Role Overview – Data Privacy Officer

As a Data Privacy Officer, you will collaborate with global compliance teams and business stakeholders to implement and enhance the Global Privacy Framework. Additionally, you will drive privacy awareness, conduct risk assessments, and ensure regulatory compliance across departments. The role requires strong cross-functional coordination and a proactive approach to privacy governance.

Key Responsibilities

Communication & Awareness

  • Develop educational content and lead privacy awareness campaigns.

  • Deliver privacy training programs to promote a privacy-first culture.

Policy Implementation

  • Support enhancement and implementation of the Global Privacy Framework.

  • Provide expert guidance on privacy compliance to stakeholders.

Risk Assessment & Mitigation

  • Conduct and support Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).

  • Identify privacy risks and propose mitigation strategies.

  • Monitor implementation and effectiveness of risk controls.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong cross-departmental relationships.

  • Ensure alignment between privacy regulations and business operations.

System & Process Improvement

  • Contribute to optimization of privacy management platforms.

  • Improve internal processes to enhance compliance and efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • MBA or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

  • Minimum 10 years of total work experience, including 4+ years in privacy/data protection.

  • Data Protection certification preferred.

  • Deep understanding of global privacy regulations such as GDPR.

  • Experience implementing privacy policies in multinational environments.

  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Background in Legal, IT, Information Security, Compliance, Audit, or Data Management.

  • Ability to translate privacy policies into operational processes.

  • Experience in financial services or multinational corporations.

  • High emotional intelligence, proactive mindset, and positive attitude.

  • Strong passion for privacy governance and awareness building.
