Job Description:
Senior Accountant
We are looking for an immediately available, qualified, and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team and handle the accounting operations of our company. You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing tax filings,and ensuring compliance with accounting laws and regulations.
Location – Mumbai
Responsibilities:
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting standards and principles
• Manage tax filings for income tax, GST, TDS, company tax and other applicable taxes
• Ensure compliance with all accounting laws and regulations in India
• Liaise with external auditors
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable and monitor cash flow
• Review and approve journal entries, invoices, payments, payroll and other accounting transactions
• Supervise, train and mentor junior accounting staff and ensure quality of their work
• Provide financial advice and support to management and other departments
• Maintain accounting systems and internal controls
• Research and resolve accounting issues and discrepancies
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Minimum 5 years of work experience as an Office Accountant
• Proficient in Tally and MS Office (especially Excel) and has used Cloud Drive Like Google Drive or One Drive
• Knowledge of accounting software and databases
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, standards, laws and regulations in India
• Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements and reports
• Ability to manage tax filings and compliance issues
• Ability to finalize accounts up to balance sheet
• Ability to supervise and lead a team of junior accountants
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
