We are seeking an experienced GST Customs Litigation CA to independently manage complex indirect tax matters. This position is designed for a Chartered Accountant with strong post-articleship exposure exclusively in GST and Customs litigation, including drafting, representation, and appellate procedures.
The GST Customs Litigation CA will handle high-value cases involving show cause notices, adjudication orders, and tribunal appeals. The role requires deep knowledge of indirect tax laws and the ability to manage litigation matters end-to-end without supervision.
Role Overview
In this GST Customs Litigation CA role, you will oversee the complete lifecycle of indirect tax disputes — from drafting responses and filing appeals to appearing before authorities and coordinating with senior counsels.
You will regularly interact with GST departments, customs authorities, and tribunals while maintaining compliance timelines and litigation trackers. The position demands precision, analytical strength, and procedural clarity in handling complex tax disputes.
Key Responsibilities

Independently manage GST and Customs litigation matters

Draft and review replies to show cause notices and adjudication orders

Prepare and file appeals, stay applications, rectifications, and submissions

Represent matters before GST authorities and tribunals

Coordinate with senior advocates and counsels for hearings

Visit tax departments for procedural compliance and follow-ups

Track hearing dates, compliance timelines, and maintain litigation MIS

Ensure accurate documentation and regulatory adherence
Mandatory Qualifications

Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification (MBA Finance may be considered)

Minimum 6 years of post-articleship experience exclusively in indirect tax litigation

Strong working knowledge of GST and Customs laws

Ability to independently manage litigation strategy and execution
