Role Overview – System Administrator Mumbai

The System Administrator & Network Engineer will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows and Linux servers in both physical and virtual environments. The role also involves network security management, virtualization support, and IT service compliance under ITIL standards.

Key Responsibilities

Server Administration & Virtualization

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows & Linux servers.

• Manage Active Directory, Domain Controllers, DHCP, DNS, and Microsoft Clusters.

• Configure and manage VMware vSphere environments.

• Perform VDI management and user access control.

• Execute backup and restore procedures for servers.

Network & Security Management

• Administer firewall policies and centralized antivirus systems.

• Monitor server performance and apply patches and security updates.

• Identify security risks and recommend remediation measures.

• Manage file permissions and directory access policies.

Incident & Change Management

• Troubleshoot OS performance issues and server incidents.

• Coordinate with third-party vendors for escalations.

• Follow ITIL processes, ensuring SLA adherence.

• Handle procurement and software license management support.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in Windows Server and Linux administration.

• Knowledge of VMware vSphere, IIS, ISA, and antivirus tools.

• Experience in network and firewall management.

• Familiarity with ITIL framework and incident management.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

• Willingness to work rotational shifts if required.
